Protection From Abuse Among 2018 NJ VOCA Grant Awardees

PHILADELPHIA – January 28, 2018PROTECTION FROM ABUSE Security Services announced today that its application for funding under the 2018 VOCA New Jersey Assistance Victim Assistance Grant (VAG) Program has been accepted and conditionally approved by the Office of the Attorney General.

As a result of the funding, the Agency will embed its programs and services in Essex and Cumberland counties and establish local offices in Newark and Millville.

“The Victim Assistance Grant represents a significant milestone for our young agency, and provides us with the funding necessary to more efficiently serve the local communities within Essex and Cumberland counties while expanding our reach to the entire State,” said Steven Dana, CEO of PROTECTION FROM ABUSE. “We look forward to working closely with the Attorney General’s office, the Essex and Cumberland County Prosecutors, and other allied community partners to improve victim-survivor safety and outcomes in the State,” Mr. Dana continued.
