PROTECTION FROM ABUSE will offer MassMutual’s Philanthropic LifeBridge™ Program

PHILADELPHIA – July 30, 2016 — PROTECTION FROM ABUSE Security Services announced today it is partnering with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) to offer its clients MassMutual’s philanthropic LifeBridge™ Free Life Insurance Program. Under the program, MassMutual will issue free $50,000 term life insurance policies to the qualified clients of PROTECTION FROM ABUSE.

“Although our core focus is providing free Protective Services to at-risk victims of abuse, life insurance provides a layer of financial protection which is unaffordable to many of our clients,” said Steven Dana, Founder, and Chief Executive Officer. “And just like our Protective Service Programs, this is an absolutely free benefit to our eligible clients – MassMutual pays all the premiums.”

Each LifeBridge™ policy has a 10-year policy term. If the policy is triggered during that time, the $50,000 life insurance benefit will be paid to a trust administered by the MassMutual Trust Company FSB, on behalf of the children. The trust pays the educational expenses of the children directly to the educational institution. Various types of schools qualify for reimbursement including pre-school, private school, vocational school, community college, universities, art and music schools or graduate schools. Some of the expenses covered include books, tuition, and on-campus room and board.

Andrea Augustine and her staff at MassMutual’s Windsor Financial Group in Horsham, PA are coordinating the free program with PROTECTION FROM ABUSE as a community service, and to advance the charitable work of the organization.

“Our philanthropic goal is to ensure eligible parents have peace of mind there will be money available for their children’s education. We hope to coordinate with more nonprofits locally to offer this philanthropic program,” says Augustine. “With LifeBridge™, the children have until age 35 to use the benefit.”
